Written by O. Pérez and I. Leitch (awarded to O. Pérez). This grant makes part of our research project on origin and evolution of Neotropical plants, and will support field work and research on genome size evolution in Central American and North Andean Pleurothallidinae.

Written by M. Gottschling, F. Blattner, G. Gerlach, and O. Pérez (awarded to M. Gottschling, F. Blattner and G. Gerlach). "Evolution and phylogenetic systematics of the sexually dimorphic orchid genus Cycnoches" (DFG Project No. 258432194). This grant supported field and wet-lab work during my PhD studies, and was focused on disentangling the phylogenetic relationships of Cycnoches and understanding spatio-temporal dynamics of sexual systems evolution in this clade. Publications derived from this project are provided here.
ORGANISATION FOR TROPICAL STUDIES SCHOLARSHIP (COSTA RICA) – 4,000 USD
This scholarship enabled my participation on the tropical plant systematics course organised by the Organisation for Tropical Studies.
COLCIENCIAS SCHOLARSHIP FOR OVERSEAS DOCTORAL STUDIES (COLOMBIA) – 500,000,000 COP
This scholarship supported my doctoral dissertation (2012-2016) at the Ludwig-Maximilians Universität (Munich, Germany) in Prof. Susanne Renner's lab (supervised by M. Gottschling and G. Gerlach).
